Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations
- Occasion alignment: Choose a card whose pop-up complexity matches the recipient’s preferences—dramatic 3D designs for collectors, or elegant flatter designs for minimalists.
- Material quality: Look for FSC-certified or premium-quality paper, durable pop-up mechanisms, and decorative elements like foil or embossing for a premium feel.
- Message space: Consider whether you want a card with ample interior space for a long personal note or a shorter sentiment with a ready-made message.
- Maintenance and keepsakes: Cards designed as keepsakes (durable construction, laser-cut details) tend to be saved longer, making them ideal for gift-givers who want lasting memories.
- Versatility: Some butterfly cards double as art pieces or desk displays; others are strictly for gifting. Pick based on whether you want post-card display value.
- Recipient taste: Match the style to the mom or loved one—romantic floral butterflies for sentimental recipients; sculptural, modern designs for art lovers.
